PENDLETON – The city’s economic development director has long believed that Pendleton’s tourism season should extend throughout the summer. As businesses begin to reopen, he says now is the time to work together to make Pendleton even more of a major tourist destination.
Although the pandemic shut down tourism for Pendleton last summer, Chrisman promises great things are planned. He says that, with luck, the Pendleton Whisky Music Fest, Pendleton Bike Week, and similar events will return.
Meanwhile, he says even more is planned. While he’s still keeping details quiet, he can’t resist a little tease.
“We’re going to see a summer like none other here in Pendleton and I’m excited,” he said. “I’ll keep some of the details back, but plan to be on Main Street come June 5.”
