Deccio Road is on the agenda for the council workshop

COLLEGE PLACE – The College Place City Council has a workshop scheduled for 5:30 p.m. today (Tuesday). No action will be taken on any of the items on the agenda.

The council will hear a presentation by Transportation Planner Spencer Montgomery and J-U-B Engineers of La Grande Engineer Darral Moore to address safety concerns on Deccio Road. The council had placed a resolution on hold in January because of input received from community members long the corridor that was contrary to complaints by other community members. J-U-B has developed a study that explains the safety concerns of some residents and parking concerns of others. The council will see the memo and ask questions about the report.

Also on the agenda are reports or updates on the wastewater system plan, the southwest sewer construction project, body cameras for the College Place Police department, an update to the peddler and business license code, and a recruitment service contract for a public works director.
