UCo Health needs volunteers

PENDLETON – Umatilla County Public Health needs volunteers to help staff COVID-19 vaccination events. Director Joseph Fiumara says people with all skills are needed.
“Whether you have medical training and you can give a vaccine, or you can help direct traffic, screen folks, or help them fill out forms, we can use the help,” Fiumara said.
The process is simple. He said people should go to the Umatilla County employment page.
“There’s a volunteer application for helping us with vaccine events,” he said. “We just ask people to fill out that application and turn it in. The county will do a background check.” Fiumara said training is provided.
