Community Center getting closer to reality

UNION, OR – As the final push to raise the needed funds for a community center in Union will end with a silent auction from January 28th through February 12th. $20,000 is needed by February 20th to complete the sale. An anonymous sponsor will match every dollar earned up to $10,000 at the silent auction. The auction items will be found on the group’s website, the Facebook page Historic Union Community Hall.
Previously the United Methodist Church, it was built in 1905 by local homesteading residents.
The Non-profit is focused on serving not only Union but all of the surrounding area. The “Friends” will be offering opportunities for rentals for special events, as well as working with local partners to provide space for a food pantry, community meals, support groups, clinics, and making community programs much more accessible to South County residents.
