Baker PD does not call with warrants or to illicit bail money, don’t fall for this scam

BAKER CITY – The Baker City Department is alerting the community that they have received reports that someone is calling local citizens stating they have a warrant for their arrest, imposing as Sergeant Chastain (possibly other Officers/staff). The department wants citizens of Baker City to know that this is fraudulent call.

The Baker City Police Department will never contact citizens with warrants and attempt to illicit bail money over the phone in an attempt to clear out a warrant for their arrest.
