PENDLETON – Pendleton School Superintendent Chris Fritsch says the Oregon Department of Education is expected to release more guidance tomorrow (Tuesday) about getting students back in the classroom. Until that happens, he said the Pendleton School District is in limbo.

“We’re pretty much stuck in comprehensive distance learning, which is a majority of our kids learning remotely,” he said. “It allows us to bring in very small numbers of kids on a very limited basis.”

Fritsch said it’s pretty clear that distance learning is not what anyone wants.

“I think to a person we all would like to have all our kids back into our buildings, but we have to follow the guidance that’s provided to us,” he said.
