LA GRANDE – 643 units of blood were collected during blood draw events in La Grande during 2020. According to La Grande Community Red Cross Blood Draw Coordinators, that amount is about three oil drums full and is 178 unites more than was collected in 2019.
Red Cross reports that each unit of blood can save three lives, which means that the 2020 collections by the La Grande Community Red Cross Blood Draws provided blood for up to 1,900 people,
