Search for a Police Chief deadline extended

ENTERPRISE – Lacey McQuead City Administrator updated the council on the search for a new Police Chief. The position was posted on January 4th and updated to “Open until Closed” (rather than a deadline for applications) last week. She explained that she has been working closely with CIS to find the best person for this position.
She reminded the council that we still have the option of entering the Linebacker Program with Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police which provides interim Police Department leadership to cities during periods when a vacancy, but if someone who was interested and qualified within the next couple of months, this option might not be necessary. She will follow-up with Council and provide an update during the February meeting.
