LA GRANDE – La Grande School District will continue with plans to have students 7th-12th grades added for in- person instruction, beginning with a new semester January 27th. Even though the COVID rate for Union County is at Extreme, the school district is able to operate due to being in a Safe Harbor County. On January 19th the La Grande School District will receive OSHA updates and advisory metrics updates, ensuring the Governor to put more Oregon schools on track to return to in-person instruction.
Recently, Governor Brown gave school districts the authority to make their own decisions about returning to campus.
January 19th, the La Grande School District will hold a Town Hall meeting sharing updates on metric updates and related COVID testing requirements, as well as future instructional plans based on the updates.
