WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla Street Crimes Unit detectives gathered information that led them to believe drugs were being stored in a storage unit in College Place. The question was, which unit. Watts to the rescue.
The drug-odor trained K-9 and his handler Officer Eric Eastman went to work, checking more than 20 storage units. Watts indicated he picked up the odor at one of the units. The unit drafted a warrant which was approved by a judge.
A search of the unit turned up 1.25 pounds of methamphetamine, which WWPD says is equal to about 1,200 doses. In addition, a firearm and unspecified documents were located in the unit, which belongs to Seth Cory Cuhna, 35, of Walla Walla. Cuhna was already in Walla Walla County Jail on a Department of Corrections warrant. He is now facing additional charges including possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
