Council to consider annexation requests

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla City Council will consider three annexation requests at its meeting tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30. The meeting is on Zoom and is streamed live on the city’s website.

The annexation requests are for property east of Cottonwood Road and south of Ransom Road; property south of Reser Road and east of Fern Avenue; and property on Williams Road south of Prospect Avenue.

The council will also hold a public hearing on a right of way vacation for the southwesterly two feet of Tukannon Street, between East Main and East Rose streets. The petition came from the property owner, Imperial Five Hundred LLC (the Finch Hotel). The owner said the vacation will help resolve conflicts with the location of the completed Finch Hotel lobby area fireplace and wall which are located within the current public right-of-way.
