ELGIN, OR – The City of Elgin will be partnering with Portland State University in January on conducting a Community Income Survey, which will help the City of Elgin apply for Block Grants.
As part of the application, the community has to provide the State with a current estimate of the incomes of residents of the community. The survey will first be mailed to all households in Elgin, followed by phone calls to households that do not return a paper survey by mail. “It will be conducted in a totally confidential manner, so your privacy will be protected”, according to the City of Elgin. The accuracy of the survey is very important and the City is asking for your help in obtaining this information. The survey will be simple and will only ask a very small amount of questions and the answers will be confidential.
Your cooperation is very important and the City is asking for your help. If you have any questions please contact City Hall at (541) 437-2253.
