ONTARIO (Released by Ontario City Police Department)-On June 24th, 2024, shortly after 12:00 p.m. 73-year-old, Jon Westfall of Ontario, Oregon stole a Treasure Valley Paramedic Ambulance from the ambulance bay of St. Al’s Hospital, 351 SW 9th Street in Ontario, Oregon. Jon had been on the St. Al’s property and upon leaving he entered the ambulance and fled the area. Ontario Police Officers responded and attempted to locate the ambulance. At approximately 3:19 p.m. Ontario Police were advised the ambulance had been recovered in Owyhee County, Idaho and Westfall was located inside the ambulance. Westfall will be charged with Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and Theft I; both are felony charges.

Second stolen vehicle.
On June 24th, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m. Ontario Police Officers were dispatched to Tractor Supply, 1494 SW 4th Avenue in reference to a subject stealing a generator and fleeing the area in a motorhome. While responding Officers were also advised of a motorhome that had just been stolen from the area of Alameda Drive and SW 4th Avenue. Officers responded to both locations and obtained victim statements. At approximately 2:33 p.m. an alert citizen contacted Malheur County Dispatch and advised of a suspicious motorhome parked in 500 block of NW 10th Drive. Officers responded to the area and located the stolen motorhome and stolen generator. The stolen motorhome was unoccupied when it was recovered and turned over to its owner. The generator was returned to Tractor Supply. Ontario Officers are following up on suspect information regarding this case.
