65 mph in a 45 mph leads to a DUII arrest in Harney County

HARNEY COUNTY-Over the past weekend Oregon State Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on highway 20 near mile post 137. The driver, identified as Zachary Gutierrez, has multiple non-extraditable warrants for his arrest and his driving privileges were criminally suspended. Gutierrez was cited in lieu of custody for Driving while Suspended.

Oregon State Police also stopped a vehicle on highway 20 near mile post 129 for driving 65mph in a 45mph zone. The driver Jeshua Richard showed signs of Impairment and consented to field sobriety test. Further evidence of impairment was displayed during the test. Rickard was arrested for DUII and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Richard subsequently registered a Blood Alcohol content of 0.27%.
