$500K in grant money coming to Prairie City & Seneca

PRAIRIE CITY & SENECA – Good news for a couple of small towns in Eastern Oregon. The Small City Allotment Advisory Committee, in conjunction with ODOT staff, is pleased to announce the 2025 grant recipients. The City of Seneca, as well as the City of Prairie City are set to receive $250,000 each. Each town will receive an email containing the program results and next steps in securing a grant. ODOT staff will begin drafting the grant agreements and will work with the cities designated contacts to develop the Project Descriptions.

| The Small City Allotment Advisory Committee, in conjunction with ODOT staff, is pleased to announce the 2025 grant recipients. After evaluating 74 projects requesting a total of $17,226,108, we have selected 24 projects totaling $5,735,959. In the next few days, each applicant will receive an email containing the program results and next steps for those that were successful in securing a grant. Award recipients are encouraged to read through the Guidelines for Grantees to familiarize themselves with the program. |

ODOT staff will begin drafting the grant agreements and will work with the cities designated contacts to develop the Project Descriptions.
Next Solicitation
New Dates: March 3rd through April 30th
Due to popular request, we are running the application period earlier in 2025. Running two application periods, essentially back-to-back, is likely to reduce the number of applications received as cities are required to have previously awarded projects completed before reapplying. This should give those cities whose projects are coming in just under the wire (sometimes a fraction of 1%) a better chance to secure a grant.
