$3,000 donation was presented to Deputy Daisy

BAKER COUNTY – The Baker County Sheriff’s Office would like to express our sincere gratitude to AgWest Farm Credit! They have graciously donated $3,000 through the Rural Community Grant Program to Deputy Daisy.

Through this program, AgWest looks for creative and collaborative approaches to address challenges and provide opportunities to people who live in rural communities. These funds will assist with veterinary costs, basic supplies, and tactical supplies for Deputy Daisy.

For those who haven’t been introduced to Deputy Daisy, she joined the Baker County Sheriff’s Office in January 2023. She will be utilized as a tracking canine for criminal investigations and search and rescue operations. She, along with her handler Deputy Chad Mills, will be tasked with apprehending criminal suspects, locating evidence of a crime and locating missing, vulnerable adults/children. She will also be a frequent visitor in the schools and at community events.

We are grateful to AgWest Farm Credit, and their staff, for recognizing the need for this project in our community. For more information about AgWest Farm Credit, their services or the Rural Community Grant Program, visit: https://agwestfc.com/
