WALLA WALLA โ The Walla Walla Police Department issued criminal citations for reckless driving to three male drivers, ages 21, 29, and 31 for performing burnouts during Mondayโs march for immigrant rights. The citations have been sent to City Attorney Tim Donaldson to review whether any charges should be filed.
Public Works Director Ki Bealey noted tire marks, because of the burnouts, were left on concrete at Main Street and First Street, between Land Title Plaza and Walawala Plaza.
Bealey said his staff is looking into what will it take to remove the tire marks but said cleaning the concrete will require a temporary road closure.
As for the march itself, WWPD Public Information Officer Sergeant Nick Loudermilk stated, โWe are grateful this event remained peaceful.โ
