LA GRANDE – Another two-day Blood Draw event was held in La Grande this week and this event beat June’s total for units collected. During this recent two-day event, citizens donated 279 units of blood bringing the total collected so far in 2024 to 1036 units.
There continues to be a national blood shortage. The American Red Cross reminds everyone that “A steady increase in lifesaving blood products is vital to ensuring hospitals stay ready for any situation this fall.”
