26 pounds of meth found during a Harney County traffic stop

BURNS – (Information from Oregon State Police)

On Monday, January 4th, 2021, at approximately 5:32 P.M., an OSP Trooper out of the Burns Office, along with a Harney County Sheriff’s Office’s Deputy stopped a black Honda Accord for failure to maintain lane and an equipment violation on Highway 78 near milepost 2 in Harney County. During the contact, the Officers observed signs consistent with criminal activity. Consent to search the vehicle was requested and granted by the driver & passenger. During the consent search, approximately 26 pounds of suspected methamphetamine was located concealed in the vehicle. The driver, identified as Wilder Alberto Moro-Casasola (31) from Charlotte, North Carolina, was arrested for Possession and Delivery of Methamphetamine. The passenger, identified as Juan Carlos Leal Orellana (23) from Phoenix, Arizona was arrested for Possession and Delivery of Methamphetamine. Both Mr. Moro-Casasola and Mr. Orellana were lodged in the Harney County Jail.
