25 motorcycles, 7 other vehicles on I-84 involved in Canyon County, ID crash

CANYON COUNTY, IDAHO — A crash on I-84 involving 7 passenger vehicles and 25 motorcycles occurred recently in Canyon County, Idaho, around 28 miles out of Ontario. Multiple injuries were reported. Read the full press release posted below:

Idaho State Police is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on October 3rd, 2026, at approximately 12:19 p.m, on westbound interstate 84 at milepost 28, in Canyon County.

A group of motorcycles were headed westbound on I-84, for a Memorial Ride, when a crash occurred causing several vehicles to come to rest in the westbound lanes of travel. 7 vehicles and 25 motorcycles were involved in the crash.

Approximately 15 individuals involved in the crash were transported by air and ground ambulance and personal vehicles to local hospitals.

The westbound lanes of travel were completely blocked for approximately 4 hours.

Idaho State Police were assisted by Canyon County Sheriff, Caldwell Police Department, Canyon County Paramedics, Caldwell Fire Department, Nampa Fire Department, Homedale Fire Department, Wilder Fire Department and Idaho Department of Transportation.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
