BAKER CITY – (Information provided by the Baker County Sheriff’s Office) Distracted driving claimed over 3,000 lives in 2019. This is why the Baker County Sheriff’s Office partnered with Oregon Impact during Distracted Driving Awareness Month. During April 8-12th, deputies conducted saturation patrols in an effort to keep distracted drivers off the road. These patrols allowed deputies to educate over 25 drivers on the dangers of driving while distracted.
