22nd Annual Woodlands & Watersheds Festival begins is June 26

ENTERPRISE – (Press release from Wallowa Resources) The Woodlands & Watersheds Festival returns to the Wallowa County Fairgrounds on Friday, June 26, 2025. Presented by Wallowa Resources, Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center, Wallowa Valley Music Alliance, and the Nez Perce Tribe, this free, fully accessible, family-friendly event celebrates the natural and cultural resources of Wallowa County.
The festival offers hands-on, place-based learning opportunities for children and adults alike. More than 55 exhibitors, the largest lineup in festival history, will provide educational booths and interactive activities designed to connect attendees with the region’s forests, watersheds, wildlife, history, and communities.
Participating organizations have included Building Healthy Families, Fishtrap, Flora School Education Center, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Wallowa County Search and Rescue, and Wallowa County Recycling, among many others.
Live music, coordinated by the Wallowa Valley Music Alliance, will take place throughout the day on the Main Stage, featuring local and regional performers including David Casteal, Cory Quinn, The Bad Penny Pleasure Makers and The Local Yokels. Tribal drumming demonstration by Waahp-qaqun Drum will also be featured.
In partnership with the Flora School Education Center, the Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center will host a Dutch-oven cooking demonstration while preparing a traditional lunch available for purchase. Proceeds will support continued development of the Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center. Festival favorites also return this year, including live fishing activities for children and families as well as free hot dogs for the kids.
The festival is made possible through support from the City of Enterprise, the Wallowa County Board of Commissioners, and many local and regional sponsors.
