HARNEY COUNTY-Harney County showed up and stepped up for the American Red Cross Blood Drive last week.

October 8, 2024 a blood drive was held at the Malheur National Forest Emigrant Creek Ranger District Office, located in Hines and collected 100% of their donation goal.

October 9, 2024 the blood drive was held at Burns High School and the American Red Cross collected 120% of their donation goal and on October 10, 2024 a blood drive was held at the Harney County Community Center located in the Harney County Chamber Office and collected 140% of the donation goal.

With these numbers, up to 225 lives will be saved in 3 days.
