22 athletes to represent Enterprise at Track and Field Championships

ENTERPRISE —  Several Outlaws will represent Enterprise High School at the Oregon High School Track and Field Championships this weekend.

The Enterprise School District published the list of qualifiers on its Facebook page:

Boys

  • 200 meters: Emerys Hobbs
  • 400 meters: Malakai Powers, Emerys Hobbs
  • 800 meters: Malakai Powers, Nathan Gonnella
  • 1,500 meters: Nathan Gonnella
  • 110 hurdles: Ezra Storlie
  • 300 hurdles: Ezra Storlie
  • Triple jump: Ezra Storlie
  • Shot put and discus: Henry Staigle
  • Pole vault: Luke Patterson, Austin Butterfield

The 4×100 relay team of Powers, Patterson, Hobbs and Quentin Arellano qualified for the state meet, as did the 4×400 relay team of Powers, Gonnella, Storlie and Hobbs.

Girls

  • 100 meters: Mackenzie Harguess
  • 200 meters: Mackenzie Harguess, Mercy Peters
  • 400 meters: Owyhee Harguess, Kherington Pace
  • 800 meters: Owyhee Harguess, Abigail Hurley, Kira Brown
  • 1,500 meters: Zion Boyd
  • 3,000 meters: Zion Boyd
  • 100 hurdles: Myelle James
  • 300 hurdles: Hannah Sheahan
  • Long jump: Aurora Gozzi
  • Pole vault: Myelle James

The girls relay teams also qualified. The 4×100 team consists of Peters, Mackenzie Harguess, Owyhee Harguess and Peyton Magera. The 4×400 team, which enters the meet with the fastest qualifying time in Class 2A, features Mackenzie Harguess, Owyhee Harguess, Jolee Cunningham and Kherington Pace.

The championships will take place Thursday through Saturday at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene.

“Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers, and good luck as they head to Eugene to compete against the best in Oregon!” the district statement said.
