WALLOWA COUNTY – Investing in the future of local youth remains at the heart of community development, and Soroptimist International of Wallowa County is doing just that. The local volunteer organization has officially announced a massive $44,500 in scholarship funding awarded to 22 graduating high school seniors across the county to help them pursue college or technical school educations.
This year’s recipients represent hard work, dedication, and the bright future of Wallowa County.

Powered by the Community: The Soroptimist Thrift Shop
Major community impacts like these scholarships are made possible through the dedicated operation of the Soroptimist Thrift Shop in Enterprise.
Open since 1957, the shop has been powered entirely by hundreds of member volunteers over the decades. When you donate to or shop at the Enterprise location, you are directly investing back into your neighbors, most of the funds from shop sales are directly reinvested into helping Wallowa County residents and vital local projects.
A Legacy of Support for Women, Girls, and Families
Soroptimist International of Wallowa County is a non-profit, volunteer service organization. As part of Soroptimist International of the America, a parent organization spanning nearly 1,300 clubs in 20 countries. Their core mission is to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.
