LA GRANDE – A two-day blood draw event in La Grande this week needed 243 units of blood. This brought the total for 2022 to 1169 units according to organizers. The goal for the year was 1000, so this recent event brought in above and beyond what was planned.
Organizers said that the “Red Cross provided a stellar crew and the event went very smoothly with no excess donor wait time.” It was noted that several donors were first time donors.
The next planned blood draw for the La Grande Community will be January 17th and 18th. Stay tuned for more details as those dates get closer.
