2 week Prescribed burn taking place outside of John Day

GRANT COUNTY-The Blue Mountain Ranger District have ignitions planned starting today, October 29, 2025 through November 12, 2025. The prescribed burn is located 9 miles north of John Day with the project name Magone PCT 2045 piles. The prescribed burn is weather and smoke management dependent. After ignitions are complete, smoke will be visible for several days.
