HEPPNER – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday following a single-vehicle crash on
Oregon Route 206, approximately 20 miles west of Heppner.
Oregon State Police said Heppner Ambulance and Life Flight were already on scene
when they arrived. Both the driver and a passenger were transported to separate
hospitals.
Witnesses told investigators that a Chevrolet Corvette was traveling eastbound when
the driver attempted to pass another vehicle, drove onto the dirt shoulder and lost
control. The driver then overcorrected, crossing both lanes before leaving the roadway
and “flipping” approximately four times before landing on its top.
There was no immediate update on the condition of those involved. The crash remains
under investigation.
