GRANT COUNTY – UPDATE – 7/28 – (From Grant County Emergency Management)
The fire, located in the old Canyon Creek Complex burn, is fully dozer-lined and holding at around 20 acres.
PREVIOUS – On Saturday evening, firefighters responded to a new fire start in the vicinity of Highway 395C, south of Starr Ridge. The Pearson Fire, about a mile off the east side of the highway, has grown to 18.4 acres at last report, and resources are still on scene. According to Grant County Emergency Management, residents in the area have been notified. The fire is reportedly in an old burn scar.
