PRAIRIE CITY – Last week, we learned that five Prairie City FFA members were recipients of the Oregon FFA State Degree. Two of those recipients were on Coffee Time Friday morning; Reece Jacobs and Lilly Rockhill.
Rockhill explained a bit about the degree application process:
“So, first, we have to do a slideshow that represents what our SAE’s are. Mine was a pig. It goes in-depth on how many hours you’ve spent with it, what you do with your animal—like your show time, all of that—and then other events in FFA.”
Jacobs chimed in that all of one’s community service hours gets recorded into the application as well.
From the Prairie City FFA Chapter, Frankie Beam, Kyler Shaw, Lilly Rockhill, Reece Jacobs and Skylar McKay all received their State Degrees.
