ENTERPRISE- Hanley “Noodle” Miller (HM) is gearing up for a trip to Las Vegas on December 1-6, 2021. Miller is a resident of Wallowa County and spoke with Elkhorn Media Group (EMG) staff to talk about himself, the upcoming event and what got him into calf roping.
(EMG) Can you start with an introduction of who you are, how old you are, where you go to school and what sort of things you do?
(HM) My name is Hanley Miller; I am 15 years old. I live in Enterprise, and I go to Joseph Charter School, and I play basketball and rodeo mostly.

(HM) I do mostly just calf roping, and I will do calf roping there.
(EMG) How long have you been calf roping?
(HM) Probably since I was about seven or eight.
(EMG) Do you do any other rodeo events?

(HM) Just getting new experiences and going to bigger events.

(EMG) What has been your favorite competition so far?
(HM) Probably the Ice Breaker in Odgen, Utah.
(EMG) Why is that?
(HM) It is just really good grounds, good cattle, good set up, and good for my horses.
(EMG) What got you started in calf roping?
(HM) I started out in team roping and I saw people doing the calf roping and I always kinda liked it.
(EMG) So you started it because it looked like fun?
(HM) Yeah
(EMG) Anything else that you wanted to mention?
(HM) I just wanted to thank my parents and everyone that has helped me out. Idaho Equine Veterinary with Jared Sharp. Also, Travis Wiggins, Nathan Steinberg, Atkins Trailer Sales and my Horseshoer Casey Little.
