PENDLETON – The 2022 Happy Canyon Night Show opens tonight (Wednesday). The show that depicts the history of the area always features a surprise or two. Show Director Becky Fletcher Waggoner said this year will be no different.
Piper Yule is an award-winning trick and Roman rider from Calgary, Alberta. She is only 12. Those attending the Xtreme Bulls Finale saw her presenting the American flag. She isn’t coming alone.
“Her brother and his friend are going to be doing some trick roping,” Fletcher Waggoner said. “We actually have a fun surprise with her. Maybe a 5 year old will be doing some trick riding.”
Yule is a fifth generation ranch kid. She was even younger when in 2019 she was named the 2019 Canada Pro Rodeo Act of the Year. She has performed three times at the Canadian Finals Rodeo and was the opening act of Canada Night at the 2019 National Finals Rodeo.
The Happy Canyon show is performed at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday in the Happy Canyon Arena. Tickets are available at the Pendleton Round-Up office or website.
