BAKER COUNTY – Driving over 100 miles per hour along I-84 at Baker City led to the arrest of an Auburn, Washington man. According to reports from Oregon State Police (OSP) in Baker County, the officer observed a westbound gray Honda van traveling at 111mph.
The vehicle passed the officer who was stations in the center media on I-84 near milepost304 and continued driving over 100mph until the officer was able to catch up with a couple miles down the interstate where a traffic stop was initiated.
The vehicle was occupied by 21-year-old Justus America Willott of Auburn, his wife and an infant child. Willott was arrested for Reckless Driving and speeding. He was also cited for Violation of Basic Rule (VBR) 100+ MPH. The Baker County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
