ONTARIO – (Release from the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office) On August 19, 2020 the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Ontario Police Department arrested 48-year-old Douglas Arnold Wold of Meridian, Idaho for multiple counts of aggravated theft and felony identity theft as he left an Ontario accounting firm with Fry Foods Inc. paychecks for the Ontario, Oregon and Weiser, Idaho Fry Foods workers. It was previously alleged that Mr. Wold, a felon on parole from the State of Idaho, had used his position as the Human Resources head of the Fry Foods business to create fake employees on the accounting payroll. It was further alleged that Mr. Wold continued to cause payroll payments to employees who quit or were terminated, and that he would remove these checks from the payroll check box and deposit them into his personal account. On August 19, 2020, Mr. Arnold was observed and caught in the act of doing this again. The total of these thefts to-date would be over $100,000.

Mr. Wold further created the fake health company “Halla Lallo” and turned in an invoice for $39,995 to the Fry Foods Inc. business for Covid-19 anti-body testing. This invoice was paid to this fake company for the full amount. Meanwhile the invoice of $19,000 submitted by the actual company, which was found in Mr. Wold’s possession, has not been paid.

Mr. Wold was released after posting bail.
