104.7 KCMB named Oregon Radio Station of the Year by Oregon Association of Broadcasters

BAKER CITY/LA GRANDE – Elkhorn Media Group’s flagship station 104.7 KCMB, has been awarded the Oregon Radio Station(s) of the Year Award by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters for 2024. The La Grande market consists of four stations: 104.7 KCMB, 102.3 The River, 92.9 The Hawk and Newstalk103. Elkhorn Media Group is the only locally owned and operated radio group in the area.

This award is issued to radio station(s) who are on the forefront of community service and localism in their markets and recognizes stations who are leading the way in the Oregon Radio Broadcast Industry.

In a release from the Oregon Association of Broadcasters, it was noted that “We are immensely proud to honor this station for their exemplary contributions to the field of radio broadcasting, serving Baker, Union and Wallowa Counties in Eastern Oregon. In 2023 Elkhorn Media Group Stations KJDY AM/FM & News102 in John Day and KZHC AM/FM in Burns were also awarded the Oregon Radio Station(s) of the Year Award by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters.
