WALLOWA & BAKER COUNTIES – ODFW have confirmed a new wolf depredation in Wallowa County. The incident was originally investigated on January 3rd and took place on private land north of Flora. The incident resulted in the death of a single yearling cow, with the Grouse Flats Pack confirmed to be responsible.
Looking further south, ODFW has announced that a lethal removal permit authorized for the Keating Pack in Baker County officially expired on December 31, 2023. The permit was initially issued on October 20th, 2023, though ODFW report no wolves were removed under the permit while it was active.
