1 killed in Tuesday crash

STANFIELD – A Pasco woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 395 near Stanfield on Tuesday.

According to a release from the Oregon State Police a Buick Lacrosse was southbound on U.S. 395 turning onto the onramp of I-84, when it struck head-on with a Toyota CHR driven by a Hermiston resident.

A passenger in the Buick, Rosa Badillo, 74, of Pasco was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupants in the Buick were transported to an area hospital. The driver and another passenger suffered minor injuries, while another passenger suffered serious injuries. All of the Buick’s occupants were from Pasco

The driver of the Toyota and a 10-year-old passenger were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries

The highway was impacted for three hours during the on-scene investigation.
 

Oregon State Police were assisted by the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Stanfield Police Department, Life Flight, Echo Fire, Umatilla County Fire District #1, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
