1 dead after single-vehicle crash near Boardman

BOARDMAN – A 50-year-old man died after striking the end of a guardrail on Interstate 84 just west of Boardman on Thursday night.

Oregon State Police (OSP) say Timothy W. Nelson, address unknown, was traveling eastbound in a Honda Odyssey at around 10:28 p.m. when he left the roadway and struck the guardrail. He was declared deceased at the scene.

Interstate 84 was impacted for approximately 30 minitues during the investigation. OSP was assisted by Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Boardman Police Department, Boardman Fire Department, and the Oregon Department of Transportation
