Wanted Fugitive Arrested in Baker County

SUMPTER – A wanted suspect out of Washington has been arrested in Baker County.

Oregon State Police say they were contacted by the FBI and asked to locate the suspect who was believed to be traveling in Baker County.

OSP, with the help of the Baker County Sheriff’s Office, located 55-year-old Mark Curtis Scott on Highway 410 near Sumpter. Police managed to pin his vehicle as it was preparing to drive away.

Scott was arrested without incident.

He’s now lodged in the Baker County Jail on an out-of-state warrant as a Fugitive from Justice.
