WALLA WALLA – In recent years the use of fireworks has often been a topic of discussion among members of the Walla Walla City Council. At their Wednesday, May 8 meeting, the council will discuss how fireworks will be regulated within the city limits.

The Walla Walla City Council is also expected to vote to approve one of the following three options:

  • Make no changes to the City’s current fireworks policy;
  • Modify Walla Walla’s fireworks policy to align with state regulations, but maintain the dates when fireworks can be discharged within city limits (4th of July and New Year’s Eve); or
  • Ban fireworks within city limits.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Walla Walla City Hall, 15 N. Third Ave. Residents may attend in person or via Zoom.
