Suspected DUI driver injures man in crash

WALLULA – The Washington State Patrol reports a suspected DUI driver failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over the center line and struck another vehicle Wednesday at 8:26 p.m. at Wallula Junction.

John R. Parks, 37, of Moses Lake is charged with DUI and second-degree negligent driving.

Troopers said Parks was traveling westbound in a Ford F150 pickup on U.S. 12 approaching the junction with State Route 730 when he collided with Dodge Ram pickup that was traveling eastbound driven by Michelle L. Covey, 42, of Touchet. Covey was not injured, however her passenger, Ethan T. Adcock, 26, of Richland was injured and transported to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco.
