Suspect shot by store employee

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department is investigating a report of a robbery in which a suspect was shot by a store employee.
It happened at the 76 Station and Convenience Store on the 500 block of South Ninth Avenue, just before 4 a.m. on Monday.
WWPD Sgt. Eric Knudson said the male suspect was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center for treatment. He added that this is an open and active investigation.
No other details, including the identity of the suspect, have been released.
