BIGGS JUNCTION – A semi-trailer fire closed some roads for a period around the Biggs Junction, and even though the trailer was completely destroyed no injuries were reported.

An Oregon State Police (OSP) report says the driver of a semi-truck was told by another driver that his trailer was on fire. The driver stopped in the road on Oregon Highway 206 near the Pilot Travel Center and attempted to put out the fire before unhooking from the trailer.

When OSP troopers arrived at around 6:02 a.m., the trailer was completely involved in fire. Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, and a local company towed the trailer.

The Sherman County Sheriff’s Office says the incident closed U.S. Highway 30 near the TA Travel Express for a period.
