Regional college rodeo finals are coming to Hermiston

HERMISTON – Saddle up as the Northwest Intercollegiate Rodeo Finals are coming to the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center. Blue Mountain Community College is hosting this year’s event on Friday and Saturday.

Other colleges competing include Walla Walla Community College, University of Idaho, Treasure Valley Community College and Lassen College from Susanville, California. 

The Timberwolves are currently in second place in total points throughout the season for both the men’s and women’s teams. 

The top two teams and top three athletes in each event advance to the College National Finals Rodeo this June in Casper, Wyoming.

On Friday, slack will begin at 2 p.m. with the main performance at 6 p.m. Friday night is hosted by the BMCC Rodeo Boosters and all proceeds go towards supporting the BMCC Rodeo Team.

The finals will be Saturday. Slack will begin at 1:00pm, with the performance at 5 p.m.  Tickets are $10 per day.
