UMATILLA COUNTY – The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in locating Alejandro Adrian Ureno-Alvarez, 48, following a pursuit that ended on South Water Street in Weston.

UCSO states that a deputy initiated a traffic stop in the area of Steen and Lower Dry Creek roads. The 1997 Toyota Tacoma’s driver failed to yield and took off toward Highway 11 at a high speed. The deputy followed the vehicle from Highway 11 to Highway 204, and into the city of Weston.

The deputy found the vehicle with its headlights still on in the driveway of a home on South Water Street. The driver was gone and a subsequent search failed to locate him.

UCSO believes the driver is Ureno-Alvarez, who has an outstanding felony warrant for a probation violation. He had originally been convicted in Umatilla County Circuit Court of attempting to elude police.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the 24-hour dispatch center at 541-966-3651. They are advised not to approach the suspect.
