KENNEWICK – The U.S. Marshals Service and Benton County Sheriff’s Office report Joseph Walker, 30, was located Thursday at a residence in Richland and taken into custody in connection to the Dec. 27 death of his 4-year-old daughter at a Kennewick motel.

Walker was booked into the Benton County Jail on an arrest warrant for first-degree manslaughter.

On Dec. 27, Kennewick police responded to a 911 call that a 4-year-old girl was not breathing at the Econo Lodge at 300 N. Ely St. First responders tried to resuscitate the child. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

Court records indicate the little girl died after ingesting pills containing fentanyl that were left out in the open. The records also indicate that first responders tried using naloxone on the child, but it did not revive her and that police found the pills in the room.

After the initial investigation, the girl’s mother, Judy Bribiescas, 39, was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for first-degree manslaughter. KPD detectives worked with the Benton County Prosecutor’s Office and a nationwide extraditable warrant for first-degree manslaughter was issued for Walker.
