OHS exhibit to feature piece painted in Halfway, OR

HALFWAY – The Oregon Historical Society issued a release this week regarding Artist Frances Stilwell and her passion for art.  Stilwell’s artistic depictions of native Oregon plants will be featured OHS’s newest exhibit which opens tomorrow in Portland, and among the many works of art from Stilwell is a piece titled “Happy Most Anywhere”.  A pastel painting is of fireweed, Chamerion angustifolium and was painted in Halfway.  Two other regional locations featured in Stilwell’s paintings is Jordan Valley and Morrow County.
