We held an in-person open house May 2023 to share information about project design. After talking with residents at last year’s meeting, we made a few changes. We are now ready to talk with you about our final plans and prepare you for construction.

Project schedule

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and be completed fall 2025.

We are in the process of hiring a contractor. Once they are onboard, we will work with them to finalize the project start date.

Project details

This project in Pendleton is part of a larger effort to rebuild curb ramps in eastern Oregon.

For this project, we will:

  • Replace the asphalt walkway with wider concrete sidewalk on the east side of U.S. 395, from Southwest Tutuilla Road to Southwest Perkins Avenue.
  • Install pedestrian activated flashing beacons at:
    • OR 11 – SE Isaac Avenue, milepost 1.19.
    • OR 11 – SE 17th Street, milepost 0.31.

Reconfigure lanes to add bike lanes on OR 11, from the I-84 interchange to Southeast Court Avenue.
