BAKER COUNTY – (Release from Baker County DA) On February 11, 2022, Loren D. Prevo, 29, was sentenced by Judge Matthew Shirtcliff to the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections for a period of 56 months. Mr. Prevo had initially been facing a lesser prison sentence for Delivery of Methamphetamine under Oregon’s sentencing laws, but was given a plea agreement that would have allowed him to avoid prison if he completed certain probationary requirements, including local and in-patient treatment. At sentencing on the probation violation, Chief Deputy District Attorney Michael Spaulding cited Mr. Prevo’s failed attempts at completing treatment and failure to check in with his probation officer as primary reasons for seeking to revoke his probation.

Law enforcement members from the Baker City Police Department. Baker County Sheriff’s Office, Parole and Probation, and Narcotics Enforcement Team all participated in the investigation and supervision of Mr. Prevo.
