KPD arrests alleged child predator

KENNEWICK – Kennewick detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of sexual assault of an 8-year-old child Tuesday. The investigation into the allegation on Jan. 17.

On that day, patrol officers responded to a report of possible child molestation in Kennewick. The young victim reported that Adrian Hernandez-Virgen touched him or her sexually. The victim was known by the alleged assaulter.

The criminal investigation division took over the case. KPD reports that their investigation led to probably cause to arrest Hernandez-Virgen for suspicion of child molestation in the first-degree.

He was taken into custody on Tuesday and booked into Benton County Jail for that charge. His bail is set at $100,000.
